Love Is In The Air

Influenced by Valentine's Day last week, I was in a romantic mood lately, so I decided this time to wear something feminine which is so unlike me. Actually we didn't celebrate Valentine's Day for a three years to be exact. The reason is simple, Valentine's Day always falls in the middle of the final exams period at my university, and somehow I always have an exam the next day and for some inexplicable reason Valentine's Day is one of the two only days I have to be prepared for some super hard test.  So we always decided to postpone the Valentine's Day to semester vacation , not fun. So this time I was really confused because how the hell, Valentine's Day is celebrated?  So what, all of a sudden I have to do some kitschy stuff and draw hearts everywhere? Or call my boyfriend with verification of love? Dress to kill as if there is no tomorrow? I felt uncomfortable with all this, and other bloggers with posts of "How to Make a heart shaped tea bags for Valentine's Day" did not exactly give me an useful advice!

But this year I have more breathing room and we decided not to give up on lover's day and did what they always showed us in the movies: we made a reservation at our favorite restaurant! Only it turned out Alex has less breathing room this semester and at his university they are crueler than at mine, he was spoiled with a  special treat test for Valentine's Day. Needless to say what time we got to the restaurant, filled our stomachs late at night and returned  home.

I know I'm not an expert, but I guess this is a romance! Otherwise, how else can you explain the romantic look of the day which is so not typical for me? Just kidding... I'm not going talk about what I was wearing because all the items have been seen here already and I have a hard time to throw away clothes.

בהשפעת יום אהבה שהיה בשבוע שעבר, הייתי שרויה במצב רוח רומנטי ולכן החלטתי ללבוש הפעם משהו נשי שלא כל כך אופייני לי. למען האמת לא חגגנו יום אהבה מזה 3 שנים אם לדייק. הסיבה לכך היא פשוטה, יום אהבה תמיד נופל איי שם באמצע תקופת המבחנים בטכניון ובמקום הזה מאוד משתדלים שיהיה מבחן יום למחרת ועדיף גם שיום אהבה יהיה אחד משני הימים היחידים שיש לך ללמוד לפני למבחן כסאח. כך שתמיד היינו מחליטים לדחות את יום אהבה לחופשת סמסטר, לא כיף. לכן הפעם הייתי ממש מבולבלת כי איך לעזעזל חוגגים יום אהבה? מה, פתאום צריך להיות קי'צי ולצייר לבבות בכל מקום? או להתקשר לבן זוג עם וידואי אהבה? לדפוק הופעה כאילו שאין מחר? הרגשתי לא נוח עם כל אלה וזה שבלוגרים בעולם עשו פוסטים כמו "איך להכין תיון בצורת לב לקראת יום אהבה" לא בדיוק נתן לי עצה מועילה!

אבל השנה יש לי יותר מרווח נשימה והחלטנו לא לוותר על החגיגה ועשינו את מה שתמיד הראו לנו בסרטים: הזמנו מקום במסעדה האהובה עלינו! רק שהסתבר שלאלכס יש פחות מרווח נשימה הסמסטר ואצלו הם יותר אכזריים מהטכניון, שם פינקו אותם במבחן ספיישל ליום האהבה. מיותר לציין באיזה שעה הגענו למסעדה, מלאנו את הקיבות מאוחר בלילה וחזרנו מפוצצים הביתה. 

אני יודעת שאני לא מומחית, אבל כנראה זו היא רומנטיקה?! אחרת, איך עוד אפשר להסביר מראה רומנטי ולא אופייני של הלוק של היום? צוחקת... אני לא הולכת להרחיב על מה שאני לובשת כי באמת שכל הפריטים די ישנים למעט הנעליים שדברתי עליהם בפוסט הקודם.
